Homework becomes an important responsibility for you in third grade. You can expect homework nightly, and it should take no longer than 40 minutes. Please be sure to have your parents check your Homework Planner nightly, as all homework assignments and important dates will be written in the planner. Get your planner signed nightly and return daily. The homework assignments are used as review and will be gone over in class daily. You will earn an extra credit grade for completing and returning all assignments, as well as getting your planner signed daily.

Homework assignments must be:

Finished when turned in

Turned in on time

Completed by you on your own to the best of your ability

Neat, clean, and legible

Made up when absent from school.

Helpful Hints for Homework:

  Set up a proper study area

  Set aside a special time each night just for homework

  Set up a reinforcing and rewarding homework contract

  Ask for a helping hand, only if needed for guidance
