Information for parents:

If your child must miss a day at school, we ask that you call the school office and let us know.  When they return, please be sure to send them with a note or doctor's notice about the reason they have missed. If you need to have your child's work sent to the office for pick-up, please be sure to let the office staff know when call in the morning.  It should be ready at the end of the school day.


Screenings for Kindergarten, 3rd , 7th , and 10th graders:
 
State mandated screens, to be completed within 60 business days of the opening of school:
Hearing* Vision*
Speech and Language* (KG through 3rd grade only)
Fine and Gross Motor* (KG through 3rd grade only)
* State mandated screens include all new students to Waynesboro Public Schools and are to be completed within 60 business days of their enrollment date.
In conjunction with Augusta Health and the Central Shenandoah Health Department -
Body Mass Index (BMI) - Your child's student handbook, school nurse, or front office will have more information regarding BMI. If you choose to have your child "opt out" of the BMI screen, you must complete and return the the opt-out form to the school nurse by September 7th.
